Frequently Asked
The questions women ask before they book.
Is this the same as going to pelvic floor PT?
No. Allopathic (western medicine) pelvic floor physical therapy is helpful, and positive results are often experienced. But ceremonial pelvic care addresses a depth and width that PT does not reach.
In pelvic PT you are in and out of a doctor's office in an hour. Ceremonial pelvic care gives your body many hours to unwind — not only physical tension and injury in the tissues, muscles, ligaments and bones, but also the emotional and energetic gripping, trauma, and stories women carry in the pelvis and sexual tissues.
Allopathic PT tends to the outer tissues of the vulva and the pelvic floor 1-2 inches inside the vaginal opening. Ceremonial pelvic care is trained to tend a wider range of outer tissues including breast and belly, as well as the deepest points of inner pelvic tissue — including the cervix and the deep vaginal canal, where much tension and emotional pain is held.
Ceremonial care also acknowledges that the tension, pain, dysfunction and disease women experience in the pelvis and reproductive organs are informed not only by their own life experiences, surgeries and injuries, but by the experiences of their maternal lineage through cellular epigenetics. Ceremonial pelvic care addresses, and is trained to integrate, the full spectrum of causes that create pelvic pain, menstrual issues, pain during sex, inhibited libido, dryness of mucosal tissues, cortisol dominance, and more.
How long are the sessions?
Each ceremony is five hours, hands-on. Packages are three ceremonies over the course of a month. There is also a 30-minute pre-session call before the first ceremony and a post-session follow-up after each one.
What does the $3,000 package include?
Three 5-hour ceremonies. The pre-session call. Three post-session follow-ups. Stay in the tiny home through extended care. Personalized herbal remedies crafted by Meg Etzell of Healing House Herbs. Access to the walking trails, herbal teas, and the marsh between sessions.
The $3,000 price reflects Ellie's second year of apprenticeship. After her full graduation in March 2028, ceremonial care packages will range up to $10,000 for multi-day care.
Can I split the payment?
Yes. If you book in 2026 or early 2027, you can split your payment into up to 12 monthly installments. Payment must be complete by the time of your first ceremony.
Where does the work happen?
On Ellie's family land in Minnesota, in a tiny home built on the edge of a native marsh. There are forested walking trails, wildlife, and a wood-stove warmth in winter. The space was built for women to arrive into and to stay through extended care.
What if I am uncomfortable with the depth of this work?
Then write to Ellie before booking. Every ceremony is paced at the speed your body asks for, never the other way around. The pre-session call exists exactly for this — to make sure the work, the depth, and the container feel right for you before you commit.
Do you work with women who have experienced sexual trauma?
Yes. Much of ceremonial pelvic care is exactly this work — integrating and resolving sexual trauma carried in the tissues. Ellie is trained to hold this with deep care and at the speed your nervous system can metabolize.
When are sessions available?
Sessions open in late May 2027. If you are reading this before then, send an inquiry now — inquiries received in advance are placed first when the calendar opens.
